The Natural State Lawn Program
The Natural State Lawn Program utilizes 10 strategic treatments annually to enhance lawn vitality and control weeds. Our approach focuses on two fundamental pillars of fertility.
While each treatment offers standalone benefits, the synergy of the program is where the true "Magic" lies.
Further distinguishing our unique approach is our commitment to reducing chemical herbicides by up to 90%. Our meticulous "spot spray only" weed management methods, though more time-consuming and training-intensive, deliver the safest and most effective alternative to industry norms.
We prioritize long-term soil health by incorporating organics and six forms of micronutrients into almost every treatment.
We utilize three distinct forms of highly advanced fertilizer to ensure both immediate and sustained turf vigor.
We minimize chemical inputs by utilizing a “Spot-Spray Only” approach to post-emergent weed control, reducing herbicide use by 10X or more!
-
While the post-emergent products aren’t organic, our precise application method reduces herbicide use by over 90% without sacrificing control. Plus, we select only the most advanced, carefully tested herbicides to ensure maximum effectiveness with minimal impact.
-
As a result of lab testing thousands of lawns in 2025 we learned over 95% of properties are acidic. We are adding Round 10, a Lime treatment to balance pH.
The same soil tests indicated a near universal Potassium deficiency. To further demonstrate our commitment to providing the best science-backed program possible, we've made improvements to our existing program increasing Potassium inputs by 3X.

The year starts with a spring/summer pre-emergent weed control application using the most advanced and safest product available.
Bonus: This round, like all liquid treatments, contains a moisture manager product. This product improves the efficacy of pre-emergent by enhancing its distribution and absorption throughout the soil profile.
-
This application provides your lawn with a slow and steady 22-week supply of nitrogen using the cutting edge of advanced slow-release fertilizer. Unlike standard coated urea, its release is driven by soil microbial activity, ensuring consistent and predictable nutrient delivery, regardless of rainfall or irrigation.
-
This granular product is designed to prepare your lawn for the heat and stress of summer. With high potassium for stronger roots, slow-release nitrogen for steady growth, and added iron for deep green color, this application keeps your turf healthier, greener, and more resilient all season long.
Bonus: Added iron enhances turf color, giving your lawn a richer, healthier appearance.
-
Our premium dual-coated controlled-release fertilizer, maximizes grass potential for 10 weeks while enhancing soil health. Unlike traditional fertilizers with 40% filler, it replaces filler with beneficial components like black gypsum, organic humates, calcium, sulfur, potassium, and two types of nitrogen. With slow-release nitrogen, zero burn risk, organic coatings, and added secondary nutrients, it’s the most effective granular fertilizer available.
-
This application is the first of three throughout the season utilizing our custom liquid organic bio-stimulant and micronutrient blend. This treatment combines carbon sources like kelp meal, fish meal, humic acids, and worm compost extracts with micronutrients such as magnesium, sulfur, copper, iron, manganese, and zinc. These organic sources of carbon and micronutrients feed the plants and stabilize nutrients keeping them in the soil longer and allowing for complete absorption. Thus, subsequent treatments are more efficient/effective, and plants are able to fight off common stresses naturally.
Bonus: This round, like all liquid treatments, contains a moisture manager product. This product improves the uptake of fertilizer by reducing surface tension and ensuring nutrients reach roots throughout the soil profile.
-
This application utilizes the same amazing liquid organic bio-stimulant and trace minerals that were applied in June (Round 5). This treatment helps build soil and alleviate the stress of summer heat.
Bonus: This round, like all liquid treatments, contains a moisture manager product. This product improves the uptake of fertilizer by reducing surface tension and ensuring nutrients reach roots throughout the soil profile. Moisture managers are especially important at this time of year because they help the soil absorb and retain moisture.
-
This is the second application of our dual-coated controlled-release fertilizer designed to push grass to its highest potential over approximately 10 weeks while simultaneously improving soil health. Unlike traditional fertilizers with 40% filler, our premium granular fertilizer replaces filler with beneficial components like black gypsum, organic humates, calcium, sulfur, potassium, and two types of nitrogen. With slow and predictable nitrogen release, zero burn potential, organic coatings, and additional secondary nutrients, it stands out as the most comprehensive and effective granular product on the market.
-
As summer ends, this advanced pre-emergent prevents fall and winter weed germination, similar to the February treatment for spring and summer weeds. A micronutrient pack is included to enhance late-season green and prepare the grass for dormancy.
Bonus: This round, like all liquid treatments, contains a moisture manager product. This product improves the efficacy of per-emergent by enhancing it's distribution and absorption throughout the soil profile. Moisture managers are especially important at this time of year because they help the soil absorb and retain moisture.
-
We finish the season’s fertility by applying one last round of liquid organic bio-stimulant. This treatment combines carbon sources like kelp meal, fish meal, humic acids, and worm compost extracts. These organic sources of carbon feed the plants and stabilize nutrients, keeping them in the soil longer and allowing for complete absorption. Thus, preparing plants for the stressful winter months ahead.
Bonus: This round, like all liquid treatments, contains a moisture manager product. This product enhances the uptake of fertilizer by reducing surface tension, ensuring that nutrients reach the roots throughout the entire soil profile.
-
We wrap up the year with an annual “maintenance rate” of palletized lime to keep soil in balance. Why? Because acidity naturally returns due to acid rain, nutrient leaching, and the chemical processes that occur when nitrogen breaks down. This round was established in 2025 after our partnership with Auburn University and the University of Florida, where we invested over $32,000 in lab-verified soil testing. The results were clear: more than 95% of lawns in Central Arkansas are acidic.
Bonus: Round 10 not only balances soil pH, but also extends the treatment season—giving us another opportunity to spot-spray weeds and monitor for disease or pest issues before winter.
